I have spent so much time reading about islam and understanding islam recently?

If you actually have spent a lot of time dedicating to islam as you say you have, then you should be unaffected by such things. The only true religion is your relationship with your creator, in whatever form that maybe. Islam means submission to Allah (God), it means forsaking your own pleasures for the pleasure of Allah. Is your faith so weak that it easily influenced by such things? If it is then my friend you have yet to understand Islam.
