P.E.T.A is making a big difference?

I was just on P.E.T.A's website looking at their victories and I was very impressed. They made many large companies imply better animal welfare rules drastically, and use alternatives for animal tests. From what it looks like, our situation with animal welfare is improving bit by bit. Not to mention many large companies banned fur due to P.E.T.A's efforts. Everyone involved in A.L.F (Animal Liberation Front) and P.E.T.A are angels and seem to be making a difference. I just want to ask, will things just keep getting better and better for the animals? Will animals peace come eventually at this rate ( Meat won't ever go away, but at least humane treatment). From what it seems, fur isn't doing anywhere near as great as it once was. I see many negative things that have to do with animals but P.E.T.A's victories gave me hope, as I am now a vegetarian, and proud to be one =D. So I just have to ask, will welfare for animals just keep getting better and better? Will more humane practices and treatment come soon? I know this can't just happen over night, but over time for sure.
