Does anyone other than myself feel that the year 2001 was the fall of America?

Not just because of 9/11 but months before then everything started changing and it was getting really STRANGE in my opinion. It wasn't it's typical America that year even before 9/11. America was struggling to supply jobs for the American people, and they started downloading and burning CD's....doing illegal stuff that was knocking people's sales. This is what happens when things are focused on freebies and getting things for cheap. The more Americans get freebies and all businesses focus on cheap for the customer the more of a deeper ditch America is going to be in. I know people can't afford stuff, because times are hard but if you're pricing it for so cheap...the rules of microeconomics is it's an inferior good if it's high in demand in a down market. Right now we're in a down market, so whatever is selling like hotcakes is an inferior good.
