Can mice make snakes sick?
usual routine Saturday of buying a mouse to feed our ball python ended tragically. Our ball python refused to eat the mouse (he does that, we always supervise feedings). Moved the mouse to its cage to try again the next evening. The mouse suddenly died two days later after another refusal from the snake. that day our snake started acting lethargic, we umed it was due to his shed that was due very soon. He perked up after being held and it was umed all was well. that brings us to today. I had gone to take him out to check on the status on his shed and hold him as usual, he was having difficulties moving and died in my hands just a few minutes later. He was only 9 months old, in perfect health, shed and ate regularly. is this just a coincidence or may something have been transmitted from the mouse??
