Is it bad if I can't memorize formulas?

Yes, that's going to be a problem as you get into more complicated cles. What you should do is mabye make flash cards, or do some form of memorization practice. Also, if you have complicated calculators, you could program the formula into the calculator and never have to worry about it again. I'd try the first one, because memorization is a key skill in life.
