How can I safely disinfect a house when I currently have a pup with possible distemper?

I got 2 puppies a week ago from my local animal shelter. They were 2 months old. I had to put 1 to sleep 6 days later because she had distemper. Now my other new pup is showing signs of having it & my vet said to disinfect everything she has touched & everywhere she has been. I am just not sure how to safely do this so she doesn't get sicker.
