Can fertilization happen in this way?

It will have to depend on how similar is their genetic structure.If their similar,for example,a tiger and a lion will become a liger(If i remember correctly) The chromosones is made up of DNA(Well I always forgot the full name) and if only their similar than can it be fertilised at all.Though it's at a height of unnaturalness of course.It should not happen in the first place..these scientists are just playing with life..They should be focusing on cloning,imagine cloning dozens of good,healthy hearts that can be saving tons of lives.Well..overall just as long as the genetic structure is similar such unnatural species can be formed.
